Any couple who are sincere in their commitment to the establishment of a Christian marriage are invited to share in the ministry of the Church in preparation for their marriage. An expectation of the church is that the couple intends to live out their faith by being active in a Christian community and have demonstrated their intention to affiliate with a congregation where they will be living.
The Church is as concerned about marriage as it is about the wedding, therefore pre-marital conversation between the clergy and the couple is an essential part of the wedding preparation. For couples from outside the area, every possible attempt will be made to coordinate these meetings with other trips the couple needs to make to the area.
Weddings can be scheduled from May through October. The building has only a small heater, so weddings outside of that time cannot be accommodated. Weddings scheduled for the very beginning or end of that time frame could still be a little chilly. Weddings are not scheduled on Sundays.
There are church guidelines which seek to assist persons in building strong marriages after divorce or dissolution of a civil union. Please realize that there may be some additional time needed to fulfill these guidelines, and discuss this with the clergy as soon as possible.
